Maez bin Malik came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him that he had committed an immoral act. The Prophet turned him away several times. Then he gave the order, and Maez was stoned.We set out and stoned him. We took him to al-Harrah and stoned him there, then returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him of what had happened.In the evening, he praised Allah and extolled Him, then said, "What is the matter with people..." A word escaped Ubayy.

جاء ماعز بن مالك إلى رسول الله ﷺ فأخبره أنه أتى فاحشة فرده مرارا قال ثم أمر به فرجم قال فانطلقنا فرجمناه قال فانطلقنا إلى الحرة فرجمناه ثم ولينا إلى رسول الله ﷺ فأخبرناه فلما كان من العشي قال فحمد الله وأثنى عليه ثم قال ما بال أقوام سقطت على أبي كلمة
