A man reported,

I went to stay with Abu Hurairah. He said, "Among the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ I never met a man more diligent in service or more attentive to his guests than him."While I was with him, he was on his bed and below him was a black slave girl of his. He had a pouch containing pebbles and date pits, and he was saying, "Glory be to Allah, glory be to Allah," until he had used up what was in the pouch. Then he tossed it down to her, she gathered them up, put them back in the pouch, and handed it back to him.He said to me, "Shall I tell you something about myself and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"I said, "Yes."He said, "I was once shivering with fever in the mosque of Madinah when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque and said, 'Has anyone seen the young man from Daws? Has anyone seen the young man from Daws?'Someone said to him, 'There he is, Messenger of Allah, shivering with fever in the corner of the mosque where you can see.'So he came, placed his hand on me, and spoke kindly to me. I got up, and he went on until he stood in the place where he used to pray. With him that day were two rows of men and one row of women, or two rows of women and one row of men.He turned to them and said, 'If Satan makes me forget anything in my prayer, let the men say subhanAllah and let the women clap.'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then prayed and did not forget anything in his prayer. When he gave the salam, he turned his face to them and said, 'Stay in your places. Is there a man among you who, when he goes to his wife, shuts the door, draws the curtain, then goes out and tells people, saying, I did such and such with my wife, I did such and such with my wife?'They were silent. Then he turned to the women and said, 'Is there any among you who talks about it?'A young, full-bosomed girl knelt up on one knee and stretched herself so that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ could see her and hear her words. She said, 'Yes, by Allah, the men do talk and the women do talk.'He said, 'Do you know what such a person is like? The one who does that is like a male devil and a female devil who meet each other in the street and he satisfies his desire with her while people are watching.'Then he said, 'Let no man lie naked with another man, and no woman with another woman, except with a child or a parent.' He mentioned a third thing which I have forgotten. 'The perfume of men is that whose scent is noticed but whose color is not visible. The perfume of women is that whose color is visible but whose scent is not noticed.'"

حدثنا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم عن سعيد الجريري عن أبي نضرة

عن رجل من الطفاوة قال

نزلت على أبي هريرة قال ولم أدرك من صحابة رسول الله ﷺ رجلا أشد تشميرا ولا أقوم على ضيف منه فبينما أنا عنده وهو على سرير له وأسفل منه جارية له سوداء ومعه كيس فيه حصى ونوى يقول سبحان الله سبحان الله حتى إذا أنفذ ما في الكيس ألقاه إليها فجمعته فجعلته في الكيس ثم دفعته إليه فقال لي ألا أحدثك عني وعن رسول الله ﷺ قلت بلى قال فإني بينما أنا أوعك في مسجد المدينة إذ دخل رسول الله ﷺ المسجد فقال من أحس الفتى الدوسي من أحس الفتى الدوسي فقال له قائل هو ذاك يوعك في جانب المسجد حيث ترى يا رسول الله فجاء فوضع يده علي وقال لي معروفا فقمت فانطلق حتى قام في مقامه الذي يصلي فيه ومعه يومئذ صفان من رجال وصف من نساء أو صفان من نساء وصف من رجال فأقبل عليهم فقال إن نساني الشيطان شيئا من صلاتي فليسبح القوم وليصفق النساء فصلى رسول الله ﷺ ولم ينس من صلاته شيئا فلما سلم أقبل عليهم بوجهه فقال مجالسكم هل منكم إذا أتى أهله أغلق بابه وأرخى ستره ثم يخرج فيحدث فيقول فعلت بأهلي كذا وفعلت بأهلي كذا فسكتوا فأقبل على النساء فقال هل منكن من تحدث فجثت فتاة كعاب على إحدى ركبتيها وتطاولت ليراها رسول الله ﷺ ويسمع كلامها فقالت إي والله إنهم ليحدثون وإنهن ليحدثن فقال هل تدرون ما مثل من فعل ذلك إن مثل من فعل ذلك مثل شيطان وشيطانة لقي أحدهما صاحبه بالسكة قضى حاجته منها والناس ينظرون إليه ثم قال ألا لا يفضين رجل إلى رجل ولا امرأة إلى امرأة إلا إلى ولد أو والد قال وذكر ثالثة فنسيتها ألا إن طيب الرجل ما وجد ريحه ولم يظهر لونه ألا إن طيب النساء ما ظهر لونه ولم يوجد ريحه
