The Prophet ﷺ said, "My example and your example, community, is like a man who kindled a fire at night. Moths and creatures that throng around fire began rushing toward it, and he kept trying to drive them away, but they overpowered him and plunged into the fire. I am holding you back by your waistbands, calling you to Paradise, yet you overpower me and plunge into the Fire."
حدثنا كثير حدثنا جعفر حدثنا يزيد بن الأصم
عن النبي ﷺ قال مثلي ومثلكم أيتها الأمة كمثل رجل استوقد نارا بليل فأقبلت إليها هذه الفراش والدواب التي تغشى النار فجعل يذبها وتغلبه إلا تقحما في النار وأنا آخذ بحجزكم أدعوكم إلى الجنة وتغلبوني إلا تقحما في النار
