Abu Hurairah reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said regarding the words of Lut, "If only I had power against you, or could take refuge in some strong support" he said, "He did indeed have a strong support to take refuge in, but he meant his clan. After him, Allah never sent a prophet except that He sent him from the noblest stock of his people."Abu Umar said, "Allah never sent a prophet after him except from a position of protection among his people."

عن النبي ﷺ قال لوط {لو أن لي بكم قوة أو آوي إلى ركن شديد} قال قد كان يأوي إلى ركن شديد ولكنه عنى عشيرته فما بعث الله عز وجل بعده نبيا إلا بعثه في ذروة قومه قال أبو عمر فما بعث الله عز وجل نبيا بعده إلا في منعة من قومه
