Muttalib bin Abdullah reported,

Ibn Abbas said, "Should I perform ablution because of food I find permissible in the Book of Allah simply because fire has touched it?"Abu Hurairah then gathered some pebbles in front of him and said, "I bear witness, by the number of these pebbles, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Perform ablution after eating what fire has touched.'"

سمع المطلب بن عبد الله بن حنطب المخزومي يقول

قال ابن عباس أتوضأ من طعام أجده حلالا في كتاب الله عز وجل لأن النار مسته قال فجمع أبو هريرة حصا بين يديه فقال أشهد عدد هذا الحصى لقال رسول الله ﷺ توضئوا مما مست النار
