Abu Hurairah reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Some men must abandon their boasting about ancestors who are nothing but coals among the coals of Hell, or else they will become more contemptible before Allah than the dung beetle that rolls filth with its nose."He also said, "Allah has removed from you the arrogance of the days of ignorance and its boasting about forefathers. A person is either a believer who fears Allah or a wretched sinner. People are the children of Adam, and Adam was created from dust."
