Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah prescribed Friday upon those who came before us, but they differed concerning it, and Allah guided us to it. So the people follow us in this matter. Today belongs to us, tomorrow belongs to the Jews, and the day after tomorrow belongs to the Christians."
