Abu Hurairah reported,

He used to narrate from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said, "When Allah loves a servant, He says, 'Jibreel, I love so-and-so, so love him.' Then Jibreel calls out throughout the heavens, 'Allah loves so-and-so, so love him.' Then love for him is placed in the hearts of the people of the earth, and he becomes beloved.And when He despises a servant, He says, 'Jibreel, I despise so-and-so, so despise him.' Then Jibreel calls out throughout the heavens, 'Allah despises so-and-so, so despise him.' Then hatred for him is placed among the people of the earth, and he becomes despised."

حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا عبد العزيز بن عبد الله بن أبي سلمة حدثنا سهيل بن أبي صالح سمع أباه قال سمعت

يحدث عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال إذا أحب الله عبدا قال يا جبريل إني أحب فلانا فأحبوه فينادي جبريل في السماوات إن الله عز وجل يحب فلانا فأحبوه فيلقى حبه على أهل الأرض فيحب وإذا أبغض عبدا قال يا جبريل إني أبغض فلانا فأبغضوه فينادي جبريل في السماوات إن الله عز وجل يبغض فلانا فأبغضوه فيوضع له البغض لأهل الأرض فيبغض
