Abd Khayr reported,

Abd Khayr said, "I saw Ali performing wudu. He washed his hands until they were clean, then rinsed his mouth three times, drew water into his nose three times, washed his face three times, washed his forearms three times, wiped his head, and washed his feet up to the ankles. Then he took what was left of his water and drank it while standing, and said, 'I wanted to show you how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ purified himself.'"Abd Khayr said that whenever Ali finished his wudu, he would cup his hands and take some of the water left over from it and drink.
