They kept us occupied on the Day of the Confederates and prevented us from praying Asr, until I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "They have kept us from the middle prayer, the Asr prayer. May Allah fill their graves and their houses," or "their bellies, with fire."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن عن سفيان عن الأعمش عن أبي الضحى عن شتير بن شكل
شغلونا يوم الأحزاب عن صلاة العصر حتى سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول شغلونا عن صلاة الوسطى صلاة العصر ملأ الله قبورهم وبيوتهم أو أجوافهم نارا
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Duha is Muslim bin Sabih, with the diminutive form. The hadith is an abridgment of 911. See also 994.
