I saw the Prophet ﷺ placing his right forearm on his right thigh and raising his index finger, having bent it slightly.
حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد النفيلي حدثنا عثمان يعني ابن عبد الرحمن حدثنا عصام بن قدامة من بني بجيلة
رأيت النبي ﷺ واضعا ذراعه اليمنى على فخذه اليمنى رافعا إصبعه السبابة قد حناها شيئا
[Its isnad is hasan]. Nasai transmitted it in the book of forgetfulness (Sahw), chapter on pointing with the finger during tashahhud, no. 1272, through the hadith of Isam bin Qudama, with this wording. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 715, 716, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 499.Malik bin Numayr was deemed reliable by Ibn Hibban, and Ibn Khuzayma affirmed this by grading his hadith sahih, so his hadith is hasan.
