The Prophet ﷺ performed ablution, and a vessel was brought to him containing about two-thirds of a mudd of water.
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن حبيب الأنصاري قال
أن النبي ﷺ توضأ فأتي بإناء فيه ماء قدر ثلثي المد
[Its chain is sahih]. Nasai narrated it in the Book of Purification, chapter on the amount of water sufficient for a man's wudu, no. 74, from Muhammad bin Bashshar, in longer form, and it has another route in Bayhaqi, 1/196.
