I prayed one night with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He stood and recited Surah al-Baqarah. He did not pass a verse of mercy without pausing to ask, nor a verse of punishment without pausing to seek refuge. Then he bowed for as long as he had stood, saying in his bowing, "Glory be to the One possessed of might, dominion, majesty, and greatness." Then he prostrated for as long as he had stood, saying the same in his prostration. Then he stood and recited Surah Al Imran, and then he recited one surah after another.

قمت مع رسول الله ﷺ ليلة فقام فقرأ سورة البقرة لا يمر بآية رحمة إلا وقف فسأل ولا يمر بآية عذاب إلا وقف فتعوذ قال ثم ركع بقدر قيامه يقول في ركوعه سبحان ذي الجبروت والملكوت والكبرياء والعظمة ثم سجد بقدر قيامه ثم قال في سجوده مثل ذلك ثم قام فقرأ بآل عمران ثم قرأ سورة سورة
