When the verse "So glorify the name of your Lord, the Magnificent" [Waqiah 56:74] was revealed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Place it in your bowing."When the verse "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High" [Ala 87:1] was revealed, he said, "Place it in your prostration."
حدثنا الربيع بن نافع أبو توبة وموسى بن إسمعيل المعنى قالا حدثنا ابن المبارك عن موسى قال أبو سلمة موسى بن أيوب عن عمه
لما نزلت {فسبح باسم ربك العظيم} قال رسول الله ﷺ اجعلوها في ركوعكم فلما نزلت {سبح اسم ربك الأعلى} قال اجعلوها في سجودكم
Its isnad is sahih. Ibn Majah narrated it in the Book of the Establishment of Prayer, chapter on glorifying Allah during ruku and sujud, no. 887, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Mubarak, narrated through him. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 600, 601, 670, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 506, and Hakim, 2/477, and Dhahabi agreed with him here.
