Yahya bin Khallad reported,

Rifa bin Rafi reported from his uncle, with the same meaning, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The prayer of any one of you is not complete until he performs the ablution thoroughly as Allah عز وجل has commanded him. He washes his face and his hands up to the elbows, wipes his head and washes his feet up to the ankles. Then he glorifies Allah عز وجل and praises Him. Then he recites from the Quran whatever has been permitted for him and is easy."He then mentioned something similar to the hadith of Hammad. He said, "Then he says the takbir and prostrates, placing his face firmly on the ground."Hammam said, sometimes he said, "his forehead on the ground, until his joints settle and relax. Then he says the takbir and sits up straight on his seat, keeping his back upright."He described the prayer in this way through four rakahs until it is completed. "The prayer of any one of you is not complete until he does that."
