I asked Abdullah bin Masud, "Which of you was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the night of the jinn?"He replied, "None of us was with him."
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا وهيب عن داود عن عامر
قلت لعبد الله بن مسعود من كان منكم مع رسول الله ﷺ ليلة الجن فقال ما كان معه منا أحد
Cited by Muslim, Prayer, Chapter on Reciting Aloud in the Fajr Prayer and Reciting to the Jinn, no. 450, from the hadith of Dawud Ibn Abu Hind, in longer form. It was also narrated by Tirmidhi, no. 3258, who said, "Hasan sahih."
