Imran bin Husayn and I prayed behind Ali bin Abu Talib . Whenever he prostrated, he said the takbir, whenever he bowed, he said the takbir, and whenever he rose from the two rakahs, he said the takbir. When we finished, Imran took my hand and said, "This man has just prayed," or he said, "This man has just led us in a prayer like the prayer of Muhammad ﷺ."
Reported by Bukhari, chapters on adhan, chapter titled "Completing the takbir during sujud," hadith 786, and Muslim, chapters on prayer, chapter titled "Confirming the takbir with every lowering and rising in prayer... etc," hadith 393, from the hadith of Hammad bin Zayd, with the same wording.
