Traced back to the Prophet ﷺ, "There is no prayer for one who does not recite the Opening of the Book and more."Sufyan said, "This applies to one who prays alone."
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد وابن السرح قالا حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري عن محمود بن الربيع
يبلغ به النبي ﷺ لا صلاة لمن لم يقرأ بفاتحة الكتاب فصاعدا قال سفيان لمن يصلي وحده
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Prayer, chapter on the obligation of reciting Fatihah in every rakat, etc., hadith no. 394, from the hadith of Sufyan Ibn Uyayna, with this chain.
