I do not know whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite during the Zuhr and Asr prayers or not.
حدثنا زياد بن أيوب حدثنا هشيم أخبرنا حصين عن عكرمة
لا أدري أكان رسول الله ﷺ يقرأ في الظهر والعصر أم لا
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Ahmad narrated it: 10/249 from the hadith of Hushaym, through this route, and it is abrogated. See the previous hadith.
