Two moments of silence which I memorized from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.Saeed said, We asked Qatada, "What are these two silences?"He answered, "When he entered his prayer, and when he finished the recitation."Then he said afterward, "And when he said, 'Not those upon whom is anger, nor those who are astray.'"
حدثنا ابن المثنى حدثنا عبد الأعلى حدثنا سعيد بهذا قال عن قتادة عن الحسن
سكتتان حفظتهما عن رسول الله ﷺ قال فيه قال سعيد قلنا لقتادة ما هاتان السكتتان قال إذا دخل في صلاته وإذا فرغ من القراءة ثم قال بعد وإذا قال {غير المغضوب عليهم ولا الضالين}
Sourcing, sahih. Tirmidhi narrated it in the chapter on prayer, in the section on what has been said regarding the two pauses in prayer, hadith 251, from Muhammad bin Muthanna, and Ibn Majah, hadith 844, from the hadith of Abdul-Ala with the same wording. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith 1578, as did Ibn Hibban, hadith 448, and Hakim, 1/215.
