When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ began the prayer, he would raise his hands to near his ears, and then he would not do so again.
حدثنا محمد بن الصباح البزاز حدثنا شريك عن يزيد بن أبي زياد عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان إذا افتتح الصلاة رفع يديه إلى قريب من أذنيه ثم لا يعود
[Its chain is daif] Ibn Hibban recorded it in Majruhin 3/100 and Humaydi (edited by Habib Rahman Azami, no. 724) narrated it from the hadith of Yazid bin Abu Ziyad, who is daif and a mudallis, and he did not explicitly state that he heard it in this wording, and he narrated it after his memory had become confused. The scholars of hadith agreed that his statement "then he did not repeat it" is an interpolation (Talkhis Habir 1/221, and Mudraj ila Mudraj by Suyuti, p. 19).
