We descended with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the pass of Adhakhir when the time for prayer arrived. He prayed facing a wall, taking it as his qiblah, with us behind him. A small lamb came along trying to pass in front of him, and he kept fending it off until his belly was pressed against the wall, and it passed behind him, or as Musaddad put it.
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا عيسى بن يونس حدثنا هشام بن الغاز
هبطنا مع رسول الله ﷺ من ثنية أذاخر فحضرت الصلاة يعني فصلى إلى جدار فاتخذه قبلة ونحن خلفه فجاءت بهمة تمر بين يديه فما زال يدارئها حتى لصق بطنه بالجدار ومرت من ورائه أو كما قال مسدد
