He said to him, "I will tell you something, but do not relate it as long as you hear that I am alive. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped at a palm tree in Tabuk and said, 'This is our qiblah,' then he prayed facing it. I came running, being a young boy, until I passed between him and it. He said, 'He has cut off our prayer. May Allah cut off his trace.' I have not stood upon them to this day of mine."
حدثنا أحمد بن سعيد الهمداني ح و حدثنا سليمان بن داود قالا حدثنا ابن وهب أخبرني معاوية عن سعيد بن غزوان عن أبيه أنه نزل بتبوك وهو حاج فإذا هو برجل مقعد فسأله
له سأحدثك حديثا فلا تحدث به ما سمعت أني حي إن رسول الله ﷺ نزل بتبوك إلى نخلة فقال هذه قبلتنا ثم صلى إليها فأقبلت وأنا غلام أسعى حتى مررت بينه وبينها فقال قطع صلاتنا قطع الله أثره فما قمت عليها إلى يومي هذا

Its chain of transmission is daif. Bayhaqi narrated it: 2/275, from the hadith of Abu Dawud, through the same chain.Saeed bin Ghazwan is mastur (of unknown reliability), and his father is unknown, as stated in Taqrib and elsewhere.
