The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you prays and removes his sandals, he should not cause harm to anyone with them. Let him place them between his feet, or pray while wearing them."
حدثنا عبد الوهاب بن نجدة حدثنا بقية وشعيب بن إسحق عن الأوزاعي حدثني محمد بن الوليد عن سعيد بن أبي سعيد عن أبيه
عن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا صلى أحدكم فخلع نعليه فلا يؤذ بهما أحدا ليجعلهما بين رجليه أو ليصل فيهما

[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Baghawi narrated it in Sharh al-Sunnah, no. 301, from the hadith of Abu Dawud through this route. Hakim also narrated it, 1/260, from the hadith of Abdul-Wahhab bin Najdah through this route, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 358, as did Dhahabi in Talkhees Mustadrak, saying it meets the standard of the two shaykhs. It has supporting narrations in Ibn Khuzayma, no. 1009, and Ibn Hibban, no. 359, and Hakim, 1/259, and others.
