The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came upon some boys who were playing and greeted them with salaam.
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة حدثنا سليمان يعني ابن المغيرة عن ثابت قال
أتى رسول الله ﷺ على غلمان يلعبون فسلم عليهم
[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Nasai narrated it in Al-Kubra, no. 10163, and in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla, no. 331, from the hadith of Sulayman bin Mughira through this route, and Bukhari narrated it, no. 6247, and Muslim, no. 2168, from the hadith of Thabit Bunani through this route.
