We were staying at the house of Suwayd bin Muqarin, and among us was an old man with a sharp temper who had a slave girl with him. He struck her on the face, and I have never seen Suwayd more angry than he was that day.Suwayd said, "Could you find nothing to strike but the noblest part of her, her face? Let me tell you, I was the seventh of seven sons of Muqarin, and we had only a single servant. The youngest of us slapped her face, and the Prophet ﷺ ordered us to set her free."
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا فضيل بن عياض عن حصين
كنا نزولا في دار سويد بن مقرن وفينا شيخ فيه حدة ومعه جارية له فلطم وجهها فما رأيت سويدا أشد غضبا منه ذاك اليوم قال عجز عليك إلا حر وجهها لقد رأيتنا سابع سبعة من ولد مقرن وما لنا إلا خادم فلطم أصغرنا وجهها فأمرنا النبي ﷺ بعتقها
