The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among the greatest of the major sins is that a man curses his own parents."Someone asked, "Messenger of Allah, how could a man curse his own parents?"He replied, "He curses another man's father, so that man curses his father in return, and he curses another man's mother, so that man curses his mother in return."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر بن زياد قال أخبرنا ح و حدثنا عباد بن موسى قالا حدثنا إبراهيم بن سعد عن أبيه عن حميد بن عبد الرحمن
قال رسول الله ﷺ إن من أكبر الكبائر أن يلعن الرجل والديه قيل يا رسول الله كيف يلعن الرجل والديه قال يلعن أبا الرجل فيلعن أباه ويلعن أمه فيلعن أمه
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Manners, Chapter "A Man Should Not Curse His Parents," Hadith 5973, from the hadith of Ibrahim bin Saad, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith, Chapter "Major Sins and the Greatest of Them," Hadith 90, from the hadith of Saad bin Ibrahim bin Abdul-Rahman, through him.
