When the time came for the first call to the morning prayer, the Prophet ﷺ ordered me, so I gave the call to prayer. Then I began saying, "Shall I call the iqamah, Messenger of Allah?"He kept looking toward the eastern horizon for the dawn and saying, "No."When the dawn broke, he came down and went out to relieve himself, then returned to me after his companions had gathered. He performed ablution, and Bilal wanted to call the iqamah, but the Prophet of Allah ﷺ said to him, "The brother from Suda gave the adhan, and whoever gives the adhan calls the iqamah."He said, so I called the iqamah.
[Its isnad is daif] Reported by Tirmidhi, Salah, chapter "Ma jaa anna ahl..." h: 199, who said, "We only know the hadith of Ziyad through the hadith of Afriqi, and Afriqi is daif in hadith. Yahya bin Saeed Qattan and others declared him daif." Ibn Majah also reported it, h. 717.
