I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The wind is from the mercy of Allah."Salama said, "The mercy of Allah brings blessing and it brings punishment. So when you see it, do not curse it, but ask Allah for its good and seek refuge in Allah from its evil."
Its isnad is sahih. Ibn Majah narrated it in the Book of Manners, chapter on the prohibition of cursing the wind, Hadith: 3727, from the hadith of Zuhri, and it is found in the Musannaf of Abdul-Razzaq, Hadith: 20004. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, Hadith: 1989, as did Hakim, 4/285, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
