The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever says in the morning, "So glory be to Allah when you reach the evening and when you reach the morning. To Him belongs all praise in the heavens and the earth, and in the late afternoon and when you reach the noonday" up to "and thus will you be brought out" [Rum 30:17–19], will make up what he missed in that day of his. And whoever says them in the evening will make up what he missed in his night."Rabi reported it from Layth, from Suhayl, from his father, from Ibn Abu Aish.Hammad reported from Abu Ayyash that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever says in the morning, there is no god but Allah alone, having no partner, to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over everything, will have the reward equal to freeing a slave from the descendants of Ismail. Ten good deeds will be written for him, ten evil deeds will be wiped from him, he will be raised ten degrees, and he will be under protection from Satan until the evening. And if he says it in the evening, he will have the same until the morning."In the report of Hammad he said, "A man saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a dream and said, 'Messenger of Allah, Abu Ayyash relates such and such from you.'He said, 'Abu Ayyash has spoken the truth.'"
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد ووهيب نحوه عن سهيل عن أبيه عن ابن أبي عائش وقال حماد عن أبي عياش أن رسول الله ﷺ قال من قال إذا أصبح لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير كان له عدل رقبة من ولد إسمعيل وكتب له عشر حسنات وحط عنه عشر سيئات ورفع له عشر درجات وكان في حرز من الشيطان حتى يمسي وإن قالها إذا أمسى كان له مثل ذلك حتى يصبح قال في حديث حماد فرأى رجل رسول الله ﷺ فيما يرى النائم فقال يا رسول الله إن أبا عياش يحدث عنك بكذا وكذا قال صدق أبو عياش
[Sahih] Ibn Majah reported it in the Book of Supplications, in the chapter on what a man says when he wakes up and when he goes to sleep, no. 3867, from the hadith of Hammad bin Salama, with the same wording.
