Ibn Nahar reported from Abu Hurairah, and Nasr said, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, "Having good thoughts is part of excellent worship."
حدثنا موسى بن إسماعيل، حدثنا حماد، ح وحدثنا نصر بن علي، عن مهنا أبي شبل، عن حماد بن سلمة، عن محمد بن واسع، عن شتير، -
ابن نهار - عن أبي هريرة، - قال نصر - عن رسول الله ﷺ قال حسن الظن من حسن العبادة.

[Its chain is hasan] Ahmad reported it in 2/297, 30, 407, 491, from the hadith of Hammad bin Salama, through the same chain. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih in 2395, 2460, and Hakim graded it as meeting the criteria of Muslim in 4/241, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
