The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married me when I was seven or six years old. When we arrived in Madinah, some women came to me. Bishr said, Umm Ruman came to me while I was on a swing. They took me, prepared me, and adorned me. Then I was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he consummated the marriage with me when I was nine years old. She stopped me at the door, and I said, "Hih, hih."
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد ح و حدثنا بشر بن خالد حدثنا أبو أسامة قالا حدثنا هشام بن عروة عن أبيه
إن رسول الله ﷺ تزوجني وأنا بنت سبع أو ست فلما قدمنا المدينة أتين نسوة وقال بشر فأتتني أم رومان وأنا على أرجوحة فذهبن بي وهيأنني وصنعنني فأتي بي رسول الله ﷺ فبنى بي وأنا ابنة تسع فوقفت بي على الباب فقلت هيه هيه
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Marriage, Chapter on the Permissibility of a Father Marrying Off His Young Virgin Daughter, hadith no. 1422, from the hadith of Abu Usama. Bukhari narrated it in the Virtues of the Ansar, Chapter on the Prophet's Marriage to Ayesha, Her Arrival in Madinah, and Their Consummation There, hadith no. 3894, from the hadith of Hisham bin Urwa, with this wording.
