The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I tell you of something better in rank than fasting, prayer, and charity?"They replied, "Certainly, Messenger of Allah."He said, "Reconciling between people. For the corruption of relations between people is the shaver."
حدثنا محمد بن العلاء حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن عمرو بن مرة عن سالم عن أم الدرداء
قال رسول الله ﷺ ألا أخبركم بأفضل من درجة الصيام والصلاة والصدقة قالوا بلى يا رسول الله قال إصلاح ذات البين وفساد ذات البين الحالقة
Its isnad is daif. Tirmidhi narrated it in the Chapters on the Description of the Resurrection, the chapter on the merit of reconciling relations, hadith no. 2509, from the hadith of Abu Muawiya al-Darir, and he said, "Sahih." Amash used an ambiguous form of transmission (anana), and it has corroborating narrations in Abdullah bin Mubarak's Zuhd, hadith no. 4919, and in Malik's Muwatta, 2/904, hadith no. 1740, and elsewhere. Malik also narrated it, 2/904, hadith no. 1741, with a sahih chain, from the saying of Saeed bin Musayab himself, and this is the correct view.
