The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not hate one another, do not envy one another, and do not turn your backs on one another. Be servants of Allah as brothers. It is not lawful for a Muslim to shun his brother for more than three nights."
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة عن مالك عن ابن شهاب
أن النبي ﷺ قال لا تباغضوا ولا تحاسدوا ولا تدابروا وكونوا عباد الله إخوانا ولا يحل لمسلم أن يهجر أخاه فوق ثلاث ليال
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Manners, Chapter on Estrangement, hadith no. 6075, and Muslim in the Book of Virtue and Kinship Ties, Chapter on Mutual Envy, Hatred, and Estrangement, hadith no. 2559, from the hadith of Malik with this chain. It is also found in Muwatta (Yahya) 2/907.
