The tribe of Banu Saad bin Bakr sent Dimam bin Thalaba to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He arrived, made his camel kneel at the door of the masjid, tethered it, and then entered the masjid.He asked, "Which of you is Muhammad?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was reclining among them, so we told him, "That fair-skinned man reclining there."The man said to him, "Son of Abdul-Muttalib."The Prophet ﷺ answered him, "I have answered you."The man said, "Muhammad, I have questions to put to you."In another version, the man asked, "Which of you is the son of Abdul-Muttalib?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "I am the son of Abdul-Muttalib."He said, "Son of Abdul-Muttalib," and then the narrator continued with the rest of the report.
