The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There will arise within my nation disagreement and division. A people will come whose speech is fine but whose deeds are foul. They will recite the Quran, but it will not pass beyond their throats. They will pass through the religion as an arrow passes through its prey, never to return until the arrow comes back through its notch. They are the worst of creation. Blessed is the one who kills them and the one whom they kill. They will call to the Book of Allah, yet they will have no part in it. Whoever fights them is closer to Allah than they are."The companions asked, "Messenger of Allah, what is their distinguishing mark?"He replied, "Shaving the head."
