I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "There has not been a prophet after Nuh who did not warn his people about the Dajjal, and I warn you of him."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then described him to us and said, "Perhaps some who have seen me and heard my words will live to encounter him."The companions asked, "Messenger of Allah, will our hearts on that day be as they are today?"He replied, "Or even better."
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد عن خالد الحذاء عن عبد الله بن شقيق عن عبد الله بن سراقة
سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول إنه لم يكن نبي بعد نوح إلا وقد أنذر الدجال قومه وإني أنذركموه فوصفه لنا رسول الله ﷺ وقال لعله سيدركه من قد رآني وسمع كلامي قالوا يا رسول الله كيف قلوبنا يومئذ أمثلها اليوم قال أو خير
[Hasan]. Tirmidhi narrated it, Fitan, chapter on what has been said about Dajjal, no. 2234, from the hadith of Hammad bin Salama, with this wording, and he said, "Hasan," "gharib." Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1895, as did Hakim, 4/542, 543, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
