The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The earth consumes every part of the son of Adam except the tailbone. From it he was created, and from it he will be reassembled."
حدثنا القعنبي عن مالك عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال كل ابن آدم تأكل الأرض إلا عجب الذنب منه خلق وفيه يركب
[Its isnad is sahih]. Nasai narrated it in his chapters on funerals, in the chapter on the souls of the believers, hadith no. 2079, from the hadith of Malik, through this route, and it is found in Muwatta (Yahya): 1/239. Muslim also narrated it, hadith no. 2955, from the hadith of Abu Zinad, and Bukhari narrated it, hadith no. 4814, through another route, from Abu Hurairah, through this route.
