Urwa bin Zubayr, Saeed bin Musayab, Alqama bin Waqqas, and Ubaydullah bin Abdullah each informed me of part of Ayesha's account, and each one related to me a portion of the narration.She said, "In my own eyes, my situation was far too insignificant for Allah to reveal concerning me something that would be recited."

أخبرني عروة بن الزبير وسعيد بن المسيب وعلقمة بن وقاص وعبيد الله بن عبد الله عن حديث عائشة وكل حدثني طائفة من الحديث قالت ولشأني في نفسي كان أحقر من أن يتكلم الله في بأمر يتلى
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Lalikai reported it in Sharh al-Sunnah (2/335, no. 550) from the hadith of Abu Dawud through this chain. Bukhari (no. 7500) and Muslim (no. 2770) also reported it from the hadith of Yunus bin Yazid through this chain, at greater length.
