The Prophet ﷺ said, "I have been permitted to speak about one of the angels of Allah who carry the Throne. The distance between his earlobe and his shoulder is a journey of seven hundred years."
حدثنا أحمد بن حفص بن عبد الله قال حدثني أبي قال حدثني إبراهيم بن طهمان عن موسى بن عقبة عن محمد بن المنكدر
عن النبي ﷺ قال أذن لي أن أحدث عن ملك من ملائكة الله من حملة العرش إن ما بين شحمة أذنه إلى عاتقه مسيرة سبع مائة عام
[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Tabarani narrated it in al-Awsat, 2/425, no. 1730, and 5/212, no. 4418, from the hadith of Ahmad bin Hafs, through this route, and he said, "Ahmad bin Hafs narrated it alone." This is also found in the Mashyakhah of Ibrahim bin Tahman, p. 21, and Dhahabi graded it sahih in al-Uluww, p. 78.
