An Arabi came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, our souls are worn out, our families are ruined, our wealth is depleted, and our livestock have perished. So pray to Allah for rain on our behalf. We seek your intercession with Allah, and we seek Allah's intercession with you."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Woe to you! Do you know what you are saying?"Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ glorified Allah, and he kept on glorifying Him until the effect of that was recognized on the faces of his companions. Then he said, "Woe to you! Allah's intercession is not sought with any of His creation. Allah's status is far greater than that. Woe to you! Do you know what Allah is? His Throne is above His heavens like this," and he gestured with his fingers forming the shape of a dome over him, "and it groans under Him as a saddle groans under its rider."Ibn Bashshar said in his version, "Allah is above His Throne, and His Throne is above His heavens," and he continued the hadith.Abdul-Ala, Ibn al-Muthanna, and Ibn Bashshar reported it from Yaqub bin Utbah and Jubayr bin Muhammad bin Jubayr, from his father, from his grandfather.

[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ibn Khuzayma reported it in al-Tawheed, p. 103, from Muhammad bin Bashshar through this route. As for Muhammad bin Ishaq, I did not find any explicit statement that he heard directly, and Jubayr bin Muhammad is obscure, not deemed reliable by anyone other than Ibn Hibban.
