Two women from Huzayl were involved in an incident where one killed the other, and each of them had a husband and children. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled that the blood-money for the slain woman was to be paid by the paternal male relatives of the killer, and he absolved her husband and children of any liability. The paternal male relatives of the slain woman said, "Her inheritance belongs to us."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "No, her inheritance belongs to her husband and children."
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ibn Majah also narrated it in the chapters on Diyat, in the chapter on the blood money of a woman being upon her paternal relatives and her inheritance going to her child, hadith 2648, through the narration of Abdul-Wahid, and its chain is daif. Mujalid is daif.
