The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon on the day of the conquest at Makkah. He pronounced the takbir three times, then said, "There is no god but Allah alone. He fulfilled His promise, granted victory to His servant, and by Himself defeated the confederates."Up to this point I memorized it from Musaddad, and from here on the two narrators agree."Every claim to distinction from the time of ignorance, whether of blood or of property, that is boasted of or appealed to, lies beneath these two feet of mine, except for the watering of the pilgrims and the custodianship of the House."Then he said, "The blood money for an unintentional killing that resembles the intentional, one caused by a whip or a stick, is one hundred camels, forty of them pregnant."Musaddad's version is the more complete of the two.
