A young girl was found with her head crushed between two stones. She was asked, "Who did this to you? Was it so-and-so? Was it so-and-so?" until the Jew was named, at which point she nodded with her head. The Jew was seized, and he confessed. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then ordered that his head be crushed with stones.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Bequests, Chapter, "When a sick person gestures with his head in a clear, recognizable manner," etc., no. 1672, no. 2746, and Muslim in the Book of Qasamah, Chapter on the Establishment of Retaliation for Killing with a Stone or Otherwise, from the hadith of Hammam, similarly.
