When the verses declaring my innocence were revealed, the Prophet ﷺ stood upon the pulpit, mentioned the matter, and recited, meaning the Quran. When he came down from the pulpit, he ordered that the two men and the woman be punished, and the prescribed penalty was carried out upon them.
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد الثقفي ومالك بن عبد الواحد المسمعي وهذا حديثه أن ابن أبي عدي حدثهم عن محمد بن إسحق عن عبد الله بن أبي بكر عن عمرة
لما نزل عذري قام النبي ﷺ على المنبر فذكر ذاك وتلا تعني القرآن فلما نزل من المنبر أمر بالرجلين والمرأة فضربوا حدهم

Tirmidhi collected it in the tafsir of the Quran, chapter, "And from Surah Nur," no. 3181, and Ibn Majah, no. 2567, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Abu Adi with this chain, and Tirmidhi said, hasan gharib. Muhammad bin Ishaq stated clearly that he heard it directly, as found in Bayhaqi, 8/250.
