A group of Jews came and invited the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Quff. He went to them in the house of study, and they said, "Abu Qasim, a man among us has committed adultery with a woman, so judge between them."They placed a cushion for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he sat upon it. Then he said, "Bring the Torah."When it was brought, he removed the cushion from beneath himself and placed the Torah upon it, then said, "I believe in you and in the One who revealed you."Then he said, "Bring me the most learned among you." A young man was brought to him.Then he mentioned the story of the stoning, similar to the hadith of Malik from Nafi.

أتى نفر من يهود فدعوا رسول الله ﷺ إلى القف فأتاهم في بيت المدراس فقالوا يا أبا القاسم إن رجلا منا زنى بامرأة فاحكم بينهم فوضعوا لرسول الله ﷺ وسادة فجلس عليها ثم قال بالتوراة فأتي بها فنزع الوسادة من تحته فوضع التوراة عليها ثم قال آمنت بك وبمن أنزلك ثم قال ائتوني بأعلمكم فأتي بفتى شاب ثم ذكر قصة الرجم نحو حديث مالك عن نافع
