Abu Hurairah reported,

Aslami came to the Prophet of Allah ﷺ and testified against himself four times that he had committed unlawful intercourse with a woman, and each time the Prophet ﷺ turned away from him. When he came the fifth time, the Prophet asked, "Did you have intercourse with her?"He answered, "Yes."The Prophet asked, "Until that part of you disappeared into that part of her?"He answered, "Yes."The Prophet asked, "Just as the kohl-stick disappears into the kohl-jar and the rope into the well?"He answered, "Yes."The Prophet asked, "Do you know what fornication is?"He answered, "Yes. I did with her unlawfully what a man lawfully does with his wife."The Prophet asked, "What do you want by this confession?"He answered, "I want you to purify me."So the Prophet ordered that he be stoned, and he was stoned.Then the Prophet ﷺ heard two of his companions, one saying to the other, "Look at this man whom Allah had covered, but his own soul would not let him alone until he was stoned like a dog."The Prophet remained silent regarding them. He then traveled on for a while until he passed by the carcass of a donkey with its leg sticking up. He asked, "Where are so-and-so and so-and-so?"They answered, "Here we are, Messenger of Allah."He said, "Get down and eat from this donkey's carcass."They said, "Prophet of Allah, who could eat from this?"He said, "What you took from your brother's honor just now was worse than eating from this. By the One in whose hand my soul is, he is now plunging in the rivers of Paradise."

حدثنا الحسن بن علي حدثنا عبد الرزاق عن ابن جريج قال أخبرني أبو الزبير أن عبد الرحمن بن الصامت ابن عم أبي هريرة أخبره أنه سمع

أبا هريرة يقول

جاء الأسلمي نبي الله ﷺ فشهد على نفسه أنه أصاب امرأة حراما أربع مرات كل ذلك يعرض عنه النبي ﷺ فأقبل في الخامسة فقال أنكتها قال نعم قال حتى غاب ذلك منك في ذلك منها قال نعم قال كما يغيب المرود في المكحلة والرشاء في البئر قال نعم قال فهل تدري ما الزنا قال نعم أتيت منها حراما ما يأتي الرجل من امرأته حلالا قال فما تريد بهذا القول قال أريد أن تطهرني فأمر به فرجم فسمع النبي ﷺ رجلين من أصحابه يقول أحدهما لصاحبه انظر إلى هذا الذي ستر الله عليه فلم تدعه نفسه حتى رجم رجم الكلب فسكت عنهما ثم سار ساعة حتى مر بجيفة حمار شائل برجله فقال أين فلان وفلان فقالا نحن ذان يا رسول الله قال انزلا فكلا من جيفة هذا الحمار فقالا يا نبي الله من يأكل من هذا قال فما نلتما من عرض أخيكما آنفا أشد من أكل منه والذي نفسي بيده إنه الآن لفي أنهار الجنة ينقمس فيها
