The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no amputation upon one who plunders, and whoever plunders openly is not one of us."
حدثنا نصر بن علي أخبرنا محمد بن بكر حدثنا ابن جريج قال قال أبو الزبير قال
رسول الله ﷺ ليس على المنتهب قطع ومن انتهب نهبة مشهورة فليس منا
[Sahih] Reported by Tirmidhi, Hudud, chapter on what has been said about the traitor, the embezzler, and the plunderer, no. 1448, and Nasai, no. 4975, 4976, and Ibn Majah, no. 2591, 3935, from the hadith of Ibn Jurayj through this route. Tirmidhi said, hasan sahih, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1502–1504.Ibn Jurayj explicitly stated hearing it, as recorded by Darimi, 2/175, no. 2315, and Mughira bin Muslim followed him in narrating it, and Abu Zubayr followed him in narrating it, and Amr bin Dinar followed him in narrating it.
