The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, "Which deeds are best?"He replied, "Prayer at the beginning of its time."Khuzai said in his version of the hadith, narrating from an aunt of his called Umm Farwa, who had given the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ, that the Prophet ﷺ was asked.
[Sahih]. Reported by Tirmidhi, Prayer, Chapter on what has been said about the merit of praying at the beginning of its time, no. 170, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Umar Umari with this wording. He said about it, "He is not considered strong among the people of hadith." The hadith also has a sahih route with Ibn Khuzayma, no. 327, and Ibn Hibban, no. 280. Hakim graded it sahih according to the standard of the two Shaykhs, 1/188, 189, and Dhahabi agreed with him. With this, the hadith is confirmed as sahih.
