He heard Saad bin Abu Waqqas relate from the Prophet ﷺ in this hadith. He said, "I asked, 'Messenger of Allah, what do you think if someone enters my house and stretches out his hand to kill me?'"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Be like the son of Adam." Then Yazid recited, "If you stretch out your hand against me" [Maidah 5:28], the verse.
حدثنا يزيد بن خالد الرملي حدثنا مفضل عن عياش عن بكير عن بسر بن سعيد
أنه سمع سعد بن أبي وقاص عن النبي ﷺ في هذا الحديث قال فقلت يا رسول الله أرأيت إن دخل علي بيتي وبسط يده ليقتلني قال فقال رسول الله ﷺ كن كابني آدم وتلا يزيد {لئن بسطت إلي يدك} الآية
[Hasan] see, no. 4259 * Husayn Ashjaee was not deemed reliable by anyone except Ibn Hibban, and the hadith has corroborating narrations.
